Carnivorous Northern Pitcher Plants are known to eat insects, such as moths and flies. But recently researchers at the AWRS discovered that a particular population of these plants are regularly consuming a vertebrate prey- Spotted Salamanders!
Masters student Amanda Semenuk has spent two field seasons knee-deep in bog water investigating this surprising interaction. In this online event, Amanda will give us a short presentation about this discovery and then she’ll answer all your questions!
